Al's armor happened to remind me of the Heartless designs...
Mmmm...fan fodder. I just had to get it out of my system. Don't get me wrong, I love Kingdom Hearts and FMA, but the 'net (and DA especially) is just saturated in fanart, it drives me nuts. Like no one around here likes an original idea every once and awhile. *looks woefully at pageviews & watch numbers*
Hahahahahaaha, it's a neat idea. I know what you mean about the overload of fanart, though. Many of the most popular artists on devART (while all very talented) produce as much or more fanart as they do original concepts. Not that there's anything WRONG with fanart... just original concepts/chars should be appreciated, as well. Which I think they are, on deviantART; just, a lot of people seem to like the entire fanart bandwagon. *rambling*
I guess it all comes down to people fearing new concepts and such? I dunno. Don't be pessimistic about pageview and watch numbers, though. People appreciate originality more than you think

... and I mean that in the least perverted way possible
I. LOVE IT. YES. And I think it's awesome that you crossed these two series. I agree that there's not much... originality in the way of most fanart. But THIS... is awesome.
I know what you mean. i think it is because people are attached to the familiar and enjoy seeing what they are used to in different styles. it is up to artists like us to break molds and develope new ideas since the younger generation doesnt seem to know what imagination is.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
